Printed and circulated during the film’s screening in theaters (somewhere in the 1970s), this Bobby 1973 poster was designed and printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Bobby (1973) was a blockbuster hit, owing largely to its pioneering plot that revolved around teenage romance (a taboo at the time of the film’s release). Bobby won numerous awards including the 1974 Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Rishi Kapoor) and Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Dimple Kapadia).

The actress is depicted wearing the iconic Dimple Kapadia polka dot dress, which was a rage during the film’s release.
