Indian mythology poster for sale of the old Hindi film, Danveer Karna (1965).
This is an actual surviving vintage Indian mythology poster of the 1965 movie directed by B. R. Panthulu that starred Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role. Devika, Muthuraman, O.A.K. Devar and Sahadevan played supporting roles in the film.
Printed and circulated during the theatrical release of the film (somewhere in the 1960s), this old Indian mythology poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This rare vintage Bollywood poster was originally designed in hand painted format on canvas by an art studio in Bombay. Lord Krishna is seen painted in blue on the right side of this Indian mythology poster. A battle scene from the Mahabharat is seen unfolding in the background. Typography used in this old Indian movie poster appears entirely in Devanagari Hindi script with a translation of the title in English.
