Ek Ke Baad Ek poster for sale.
Featured here is an original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1960 black and white Hindi film directed by Raja Rishi that starred the evergreen superstar of Indian cinema, Dev Anand in the lead role.
Sharada and Tarla made their film debut in Ek Ke Baad Ek (1960), while Prabhu, Hiralal, S. K. Prem and Madhu Apte played supporting roles.
Printed and circulated during the initial release run of the film somewhere in the 1960s, this Ek Ke Baad Ek poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This rare Dev Anand poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by artist Vishnu. His printed signature is seen on the top left of this Ek Ke Baad Ek poster.
Superstar Dev Anand is seen in a brilliant hand drawn portrait in the foreground, while actress Sharada is seen in the background. Typography used in this Ek Ke Baad Ek poster is primarily in English with a translation of the title seen in Devanagari Hindi as well.
The main English title is seen at the bottom in red with a yellow border, giving it a striking appearance.
Ek Ke Baad’s soundtrack album was composed by one of the greatest music directors in Indian cinema, S. D. Burman, while lyrics were written by Kaifi Azmi. The song “Nazar Milayi Toh Duniya Se Darna Kya” sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhonsle became popular at the time of the film’s release. “Chali Yeh Fauj Humari” and “Thumak Thumak Chali Hai” sung by Mohammed Rafi are fondly remembered as well.
