This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1976 Hindi action drama directed by M. Karnan that starred Tamil stars Jaishankar, Sivakumar and S.A. Ashokan.

Gabbar Singh was produced by Mohan Sulibhavi and released under the Chetna Art’s banner.

Printed and circulated during the theatrical run of the film (somewhere in the 1970s), this old Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Gabbar Singh poster was originally hand painted on canvas by a poster design studio called Ramesh Arts. The lead actor is seen in a large hand painted portrait on the left of this vintage Bollywood poster. He is seen holding two pistols in his hand, giving away the action theme of the film. A fight scene appears below. The actress is seen on the right in a quirky hand drawn full length portrait.

This hand painted Bollywood poster has a beautiful divided background. Fiery flames appear on the left whereas a single red tone is used on the right, giving it a very catchy appearance. Typography used in this Gabbar Singh poster is entirely in English with a translation of the title appearing in Devanagari Hindi script on the top. The English title is seen in green in a 3D like font whereas the Devanagari Hindi title appears in red.
