This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1968 black and white period action Hindi film directed by the pioneer of special effects in Indian cinema, Nanabhai Bhatt.

Jung Aur Aman (1968) starred award winning wrestler turned Bollywood actor, Dara Singh in the lead role opposite actress Mumtaz,. Jayant, Nadira, Mohan Choti and Aruna Irani played supporting roles in the film.

Printed and circulated during a subsequent release run of the film in theaters (somewhere in the 1970s), this rare cinema poster drawing was designed and printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Jung Aur Aman poster was originally hand painted on canvas by an art studio in Delhi. The hero of the film, Dara Singh appears in an illustration at the center of this hand drawn Bollywood poster. He is seen wearing battle armor and a helmet. Actress Mumtaz is seen in a hand painted portrait alongside on the right.

Actor Jayant (Amjad Khan’s father) is seen on the left in chains, illustrated in a shade of green.

Lettering used in this poster is primarily in Devanagari Hindi, with a translation of the title seen in both English as well as in Urdu. The three different titles appear in different colors, i.e. yellow, red and blue respectively.
