This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1975 Hindi drama directed by B. R. Ishara that starred Sarika and Raj Kiran in key roles. Reena Ghosh, Master Mithu, Pradeep Kumar, Helen, Aruna Irani and I.S. Johar played supporting roles in the film.

Printed and circulated subsequent to the first theatrical release of the movie (somewhere in the late 1970s), this Kaagaz Ki Nao movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This quirky movie poster was originally hand painted on canvas by a poster art studio in Delhi. A quirky hand drawn close up of of actor Raj Kiran is seen prominently in this poster. He appears screaming. Sarika is seen alongside in a hand drawn rendition in this quirky movie poster. A smaller hand painted couple portrait is seen at the bottom.

The background features a sunset in the distance and light hues of yellow, orange and blue are seen at the bottom. Typography used in this illustrated movie poster is entirely in English, with a translation of the title seen in Devanagari Hindi as well. The title features a wavy font signifying the meaning of the word “Nao” or boat.

The soundtrack album of Kaagaz Ki Nao was composed by Sapan Jagmohan, with songs sung by Manna Dey and Asha Bhosle.
