This is an actual surviving classic Bollywood poster of the 2006 Hindi movie co-written and directed by Karan Johar that featured the biggest superstar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan along with the “King of Bollywood,” superstar Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles.
Produced by Karan Johar’s mother Hiroo Yash Johar and released under the Dharma Productions banner, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) (sometimes also abbreviated as KANK) also starred Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta and Kirron Kher. Arjun Rampal, Kajol, John Abraham, Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji made guest appearances in the film.
Set in New York, KANK explored the complex subject of infidelity in married couples and was considered path breaking in doing so. The film was shot extensively over a three month period in USA. Upon it’s release, it became the highest earner of the decade at the foreign box office, making this Shah Rukh Khan poster, highly collectible!
