Ramgarh Ke Sholay poster for sale.
This is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of the 1991 Hindi film that was a parody of the biggest blockbuster in Indian cinema, Sholay (1975). Written and directed by Ajit Diwani, Ramgarh Ke Sholay featured Amjad Khan, who reprised his iconic role of villain Gabbar Singh from the original Sholay.
This hilarious spoof featured doppelgangers of Amitabh Bachchan (Vijay Saxena), Dev Anand (Kishore Bhanushali), Anil Kapoor (Anand Kumar) and Govinda (Navin Rathod).
Printed and circulated during the debut release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1991), this classic Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Bollywood poster was originally designed as a photographic collage by a leading poster design studio in Mumbai called Studio Link. It features still photos of all four lookalikes. Amjad Khan is seen pointing a pistol at the bottom of this Ramgarh Ke Sholay poster. He is dressed in his avatar of the infamous villain, Gabbar Singh. The poster is set against a picturesque mountain background. The title of the film appears in a striking yellow font encased in orange at the bottom, resembling flames in this classic Bollywood film poster.
The soundtrack album of the film was composed by Anu Malik.
