This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1977 Hindi drama produced by B. Nagi Reddy and directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan.
Yehi Hai Zindagi starred Sanjeev Kumar and Vikram Gokhale in key roles. Utpal Dutt, Seema Deo, David Abraham, Romesh Sharma, Ramesh Deo, Lucky Ali, Neeta Mehta and Tamanna played supporting roles in the film.
Printed and circulated during the theatrical run of the film (somewhere in the late 1970s), this old Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Yehi Hai Zindagi poster was originally hand drawn on canvas by a Bollywood poster art studio. A stunning illustration comprising two large side profile portraits facing each other is seen in this line drawing poster.
Sanjeev Kumar, playing man, is seen on the right. Vikram Gokhale, playing God (Lord Krishna), is seen on the left of this vintage Bollywood poster. The two seem locked in a face off. An announcement at the top gives away the plot of the film. It reads, “Bhagwan Aur Insaan, Aamne Saamne” (English translation: “God and Man, Face to Face”).
A soothing navy blue shade is seen in the background of this line drawing poster. Typography used in this Yehi Hai Zindagi movie poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi.
Yehi Hai Zindagi’s music was composed by Rajesh Roshan. The film was a remake of the Tamil film Kaliyuga Kannan. For his intense performance, Sanjeev Kumar was nominated for Best Actor for Yehi Hai Zindagi at the 25th Filmfare Awards.
