Ab Ayega Mazaa poster for sale.
Featured here is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1984 Hindi romantic comedy co-written and directed by Pankaj Parashar that starred Farooq Sheikh and Anita Raj in key roles.
Produced by actors Alok Nath and Girija Shankar under the Madhur Pictures’ banner, Ab Ayega Mazaa (1984) also starred Ravi Baswani, Raja Bundela, Satish Kaushik, Rajesh Puri and S.M. Zaheer in supporting roles. Besides starring in the film as a supporting actor, Satish Kaushik also co-wrote the script of the film along with director Pankaj Parashar.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1984), this Ab Ayega Mazaa poster was designed and printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This vintage Bollywood poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a leading art studio in Bombay. The printed signature of the Bollywood poster painter is seen on the bottom left of this old hand painted movie poster.
A striking portrait of lead actor Farooq Sheikh wearing his trademark jacket and holding a dry red rose in his hands is seen prominently in this Bollywood poster. The artwork is set against a minimal hand painted palette background which features soothing shades of green and lime.
Typography used in this Ab Ayega Mazaa movie poster is primarily in English, with only a translation of the title seen in Devanagari Hindi on the top right. The English title of the poster is seen in a heavily stylized calligraphy font forming the shape of an inverted heart. Rainbow colored striations are seen inside the title artwork, capturing the myriad of complex emotions associated with love.
The soundtrack album of Ab Ayega Mazaa (1984) was composed by debutant duo Anand-Milind, while lyrics were written by Sameer Anjaan. Besides memorable songs sung by both father and son Kishore Kumar and Amit Kumar, the album also featured the catchy number, “440 Volt Ki Ladki” sung by Pankaj Mitra and Udit Narayan.
