Telugu film posters for sale: Alakh Niranjan (1975).
This is an actual surviving rare vintage original Indian film poster of the 1975 dubbed Hindi film produced by P. Subba Rao and directed by Babubhai Mistry.
Alakh Niranjan starred Telugu superstar N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) in the lead role. Ramakrishna, Kantha Rao, KV Chelam, Balakrishna, Vanisri, Kanchana, Dhanasiri, Varalakshmi and Anitha played supporting roles in the film.
Babubhai Mistry being the pioneer of special effects in Indian cinema, was also the special effects director for Alakh Niranjan. This south Indian religious drama was based on the ancient teachings of Hinduism surrounding the subject of gender equality. The movie shows N.T. Rama Rao playing Lord Vishnu and Vanisri playing goddess Lakshmi, both being bestowed with equal powers by the almighty.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1975), this old Telugu film poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Alakh Niranjan poster was originally designed using a combination of both hand painted oil on canvas techniques as well as photographic collage by an art studio in Bombay. Illustrated by Bollywood film poster painter Vasudeo, this Telugu film poster bears his signature on the bottom left.
N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) is seen prominently at the bottom of this vintage Bollywood poster in a stunning hand painted rendition. Actress Vanisri is seen dancing in a still photo in the background on the top.
Lettering used in this poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi script. The title appears in a catchy red font with a striking yellow outline.
