Raakhee, Vinod Mehra, Deven Verma, Om Shivpuri, Goga Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Sheetal, Amarnath, Gautam Sarin, Meena Roy and Asit Sen played supporting roles in the film, while A.K. Hangal made a special appearance.

Bemisal (1982) is the second film to be based on a novel written by Ashutosh Mukherjee, the first being Uttam Kumar’s Bengali classic, Ami Se O Shakha (1975).

It was the last film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee that starred Amitabh Bachchan and also one of the last films to be shot in Kashmir before the insurgency began.

This old Amitabh Bachchan movie poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a leading Bollywood poster design studio in Bombay called Loomba Arts.

It features three highly emotive illustrations of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, captured in various moods. A waist length illustration of the actor is seen hand painted in natural shades in the foreground. The bacground features a close up of the actor illustrated in green on the left, while a black and white illustration is seen hand drawn on the right.

Typography used in this original Amitabh Bachchan movie poster is completely in English. The title has a bullseye painted into the letter “I” of the logo and appears in an eye catching pink hue.

The soundtrack album of Bemisal (1982) was composed by one of the finest composers in Indian cinema, R.D. Burman, while lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi. The song “Ek Roz Main Tadap Kar, Is Dil Ko Tham Loonga” sung by Kishore Kumar became a rage throughout the nation and is fondly remembered till date.
