This Hari Darshan poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a poster art studio in Delhi. Devotee Prahlad (played by Satyajeet Puri) is seen in this vintage poster praying while seated inside a pot of boiling oil. He has been sentenced to death by his wicked father Hiranyakasipu (played by actor Randhawa) seen on the top left. A close up of actress Jayshree Gadkar who plays Devi Lakshmi is seen on the top of this mythology poster for sale.
Typography used in this hand drawn Bollywood poster is in both English as well as Devanagari Hindi.
The soundtrack album of Hari Darshan (1972) was composed by noted music composer duo Kalyanji-Anandji. It featured memorable devotional songs such as “Jai Jai Narayan” sung by Mahendra Kapoor & Lata Mangeshkar and “Karo Hari Darshan” sung by Mahendra Kapoor, which are fondly played in religious festivals till today.
