Do Shatru movie poster for sale.
Featured here is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the 1976 Hindi drama produced and directed by Kewal Misra that starred Sharmila Tagore and Shatrughan Sinha in key roles.
Presented by Kewal Art Productions, Do Shatru (1976) also starred Kamini Kaushal, Sujit Kumar, Dev Kumar, Iftekhar, Ram Mohan, Rajan Haksar, Leela Mishra, Jayshree T. and Kewal Misra himself in supporting roles. Anil Dhawan and Aruna Irani made special appearances in the film in the popular song, “Rab Na Kare.”
Do Shatru (1976) featured Shatrughan Sinha in a memorable role as Robin Hood styled bandit “Raja” and Sharmila Tagore as a princess seeking to avenge her father’s murder.
Printed and circulated during a subsequent release of the film (somewhere in the late 1970s), this vintage Bollywood poster was designed for publicity of the film in north Indian theaters but never ended up being used.
This Do Shatru movie poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a Bollywood poster art studio in Delhi and features quirky artwork.
Shatrughan Sinha is seen in a hand drawn illustration prominently at the center holding a bloody dagger in his hand. Actress Sharmila Tagore is seen at the bottom left firing a pistol. The actress is seen again in a quirky illustration on the top left, pointing a gun while Kamini Kaushal appears tied up in the background.
The background of this Sharmila Tagore poster has lemon yellow stripes on the top and light green at the bottom. Typography used in this vintage Bollywood poster is a mix of both English as well as Devanagari Hindi. The main Devanagari Hindi title appears illustrated in a striking yellow font, with a black border.
The soundtrack album of Do Shatru (1976) was composed by hit duo Kalyanji–Anandji. One of the songs from the album, “Rab Na Kare” sung by Narendra Chanchal and Lata Mangeshkar became very popular at the time of the film’s release.
