This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1976 Hindi action crime drama produced by N.N. Sippy and directed by C.P. Dixit.

Fakira starred Shashi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Asrani, Aruna Irani and Danny Denzongpa in key roles. Asit Sen, Ramesh Deo and Madan Puri played supporting roles in the film.

Printed and circulated during the theatrical run of the film (somewhere in the 1970s), this old Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Fakira movie poster was originally hand painted on canvas by the number one poster design studio in the Indian film industry: Studio Diwakar. A printed signature of noted Bollywood poster painter Diwakar Karkare is seen on the bottom left of this old Bollywood poster.

The lead couple, Shashi Kapoor and Shabana Azmi are seen in a large hand painted portrait prominently at the center. Asrani is seen on the left in a superb illustration holding a knife. A pistol is seen pointing towards the couple, giving away the action theme of the film. Danny appears in red on the top in a brilliant hand painted rendition. The mastery and flair of old Bollywood poster artist Diwakar is seen both in portraiture as well as the choice of colors used for the individual faces.

Shashi Kapoor is seen again in an over painted photo portrait at the bottom, riding a motorcycle. A simplistic background is used in this old Bollywood poster for sale. Typography used in this Fakira poster is entirely in English.

Previously, the entire cast and crew of Fakira had come together for the hit film Chor Machaye Shor (1974). Fakira was subsequently remade in Telugu as Dongalaku Donga.
