Featured here is a rare original Bollywood poster of the biographical musical Hindi film, The Dirty Picture (2011).

Directed by Milan Luthria and co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, The Dirty Picture starred actress Vidya Balan in the lead role along with Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor.

The Dirty Picture was inspired from the true life story of adult movie star of the south, Silk Smitha.

Printed and circulated during the debut release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2011), this Dirty Picture poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Released on the birth anniversary of adult star Silk Smitha, The Dirty Picture won widespread critical and commercial acclaim, along with numerous accolades. For her fabulous performance in the film, Vidya Balan won the Best Actress award at the National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards as well as the Screen Awards, making this Dirty Picture poster, highly collectible!

One of the songs from the film, “Ooh La La” sung by Bappi Lahiri and Shreya Ghoshal became a rage throughout the nation and is fondly remembered and played till date.

Such was the popularity of the song that “Ooh La La” was featured in the American Fox sitcom TV series, “New Girl” Big Mama P.
