This is an actual surviving original Bollywood movie poster of the 2002 cult crime drama directed by Ram Gopal Varma and written by Jaideep Sahni. Company starred Ajay Devgn, debutant Vivek Oberoi, Mohanlal, Manisha Koirala and Antara Mali in key roles.

Printed and circulated during the initial first release of the film (somewhere in 2002), this classic Bollywood poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Company was screened at Austin Film Festival, New York Asian Film Festival and the Fribourg International Film Festival. The film won six awards at the Filmfare Awards, including the Best Supporting Actor and Best Male Debut for Vivek Oberoi, Critics Award for Best Actor for Ajay Devgn and Best Actress for Manisha Koirala.

Ajay Devgn’s portrayal of the character “Malik” and Vivek Oberoi as “Chandu” won the praise of critics and fans alike. Danny Boyle cited Company and Satya as inspirations for his Academy Award winning film Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Lead actor Ajay Devgn is seen in a stunning photograph prominently at the center of this Bollywood poster. Mohanlal and actress Manisha Koirala (smoking a cigarette) are seen on the left, while debutant Vivek Oberoi and actress Antara Mali are seen on the right. The title of the film is followed by a tagline that reads, “A Law & Order Enterprise.” Actress Isha Koppikar who starred in the smash hit item number, “Khallas” (Finished) is seen in a photographic still at the bottom of this Company movie poster.

Company is the second film in the Indian Gangster trilogy and a sequel to Satya (1998). The story of the film is inspired from the fallout between mobster turned terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and his aide Chhota Rajan, which caused a rift in his gang, the D-Company (with the two characters essayed by Ajay Devgn and Vivek Oberoi respectively).

The soundtrack album of Company was composed by Sandeep Chowta. The background score “Gandha Hai” and the only song from the film, “Khallas” are fondly recalled till today.
