This is an actual surviving original PK Hindi movie poster of the blockbuster 2014 comedy drama written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani that starred Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Dutt in prominent roles.

PK is based on the story of an alien (played by superstar Aamir Khan) who comes to Earth on a research mission. The film bagged numerous awards, most notably two Filmfare Awards and two Screen Awards. The film also won the Telstra People’s Choice Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

PK was the first Indian film to gross over $100 million worldwide and $10 million in North America (US and Canada). Shortly after its debut in theaters, PK became the highest-grossing Indian film of all time in both domestic as well as international markets, making this Aamir Khan PK poster, highly collectible.

Printed and circulated before the original first release of the film in 2014, this PK movie poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

In July 2014 subsequent to its printing and distribution, this Aamir Khan PK poster sparked a controversy in the country as it featured the superstar posing almost nude with only a vintage radio covering his modesty. Although the Central Board of Film Certification had cleared the film, a PIL was filed in the court to ban its release citing nudity and vulgarity. The Supreme Court of India subsequently dismissed the plea and gave the film a green signal. The vintage radio cassette player image became instantly popular, earning the moniker of “PK radio.”
