PK is based on the story of an alien (played by superstar Aamir Khan) who comes to Earth on a research mission. The film bagged numerous awards, most notably two Filmfare Awards and two Screen Awards. The film also won the Telstra People’s Choice Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
PK was the first Indian film to gross over $100 million worldwide and $10 million in North America (US and Canada).
