This is an actual surviving rare vintage original Bollywood poster of the 1973 Hindi film that starred the greatest superstar in Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan along with Jeetendra and Hema Malini in key roles.

Produced and directed by C. V. Sridhar, Gehri Chaal (1973) was an action packed thriller that also starred Bindu, Prem Chopra, P. Jairaj and Chandrashekhar in supporting roles.

Printed and circulated during a subsequent theatrical release run of the film in Delhi (somewhere in the late 1970s), this Gehri Chaal poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Amitabh Bachchan old movie poster features quirky illustrated artwork. Originally hand drawn on canvas by a Bollywood poster design studio in Delhi, this old Gehri Chaal poster features large faces of Amitabh Bachchan and Jeetendra at the bottom.

A quirky illustrated portrait of Hema Malini is seen at the center. The top of this hand drawn Bollywood poster features an illustration of two henchmen with their hands clasped behind their backs. A scene depicted at the top gives away the thriller genre of the film.

Lettering used in this Amitabh Bachchan old movie poster is in Devanagari Hindi on the top and in English at the bottom. The title of this Gehri Chaal poster is seen written in white against a black background on the top. It appears again in blue against a yellow background at the bottom.

The soundtrack album of Gehri Chaal was composed by hit duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal while lyrics were penned by Rajendra Krishan. Songs from the film such as “Kukdu Ku Bada Pyara Lage Tu” sung by Asha Bhosle, “Jaipur Ki Choli Mangwa De Re Saiyan” sung by Asha Bhosle & Kishore Kumar and “Ae Bai, Tu Kahan Se Aayi” sung by Kishore Kumar became popular at the time of the film’s release.
