Featured here is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of one of the greatest comedy films ever made in Indian cinema, Hera Pheri (2000) starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Tabu in lead roles.

Printed and circulated a few years after the first release of the film (somewhere in the early 2000s), this Hera Pheri minimalist poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Hera Pheri has become a cult classic over the years, with a massive worldwide fan following. The film’s stellar success spawned a sequel called “Phir Hera Pheri,” which was released in 2006.

Hera Pheri was voted as the best Bollywood comedy film of all time in an online poll conducted by The Indian Express newspaper, making this Hera Pheri movie poster highly collectible!

This Hera Pheri minimalist poster features actors Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty in the foreground. Actress Tabu is seen in the background in between the two, gesturing in a childlike manner. His character “Baburao Ganpatrao Apte” aka “Babu Bhaiya” has become one of the most widely used characters in Internet memes. A song from the film, “Denewala Jab Bhi Deta Deta Chhappar Phaad Ke” is fondly recalled and played till today.
