Large hand painted old Bollywood movie poster of the patriotic Hindi film Inquilaab (1984) for sale.

This is an actual surviving two sheet vintage Bollywood poster of the 1984 classic, which featured the greatest superstar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan in the title role.

This two sheet poster measures a stunning 60″x40″ inches in size when its two individual sheets are joined or pasted together. The poster comprises two separate single sheets, each measuring 40″x30″ inches.

Printed and circulated a few years after the first release of the film (somewhere in the late 1980s/early 1990s), this old hand drawn Hindi cinema two sheet poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Inquilaab was a patriotic film deliberately released in 1984 to coincide with superstar Amitabh Bachchan's entry into politics in the same year, making this poster highly collectible!

This large original Bollywood poster was originally designed on a hand drawn canvas by a small time art studio in Kolkata, further increasing its collectible as well as quirk quotient.

In this old Amitabh movie poster, a large hand painted portrait of the superstar is seen with his fist clenched in the air. A quirky hand drawn mugshot of Sridevi appears on the bottom left of the poster. This simplistic hand drawn old Amitabh poster is set against a modest black background and the title of the film appears in three different languages, namely English, Devanagari Hindi and Bengali.

Two sheet posters comprise two separate individual single sheet posters measuring 40″x30″ inches each. When pasted together they line up perfectly and together form one single two sheet poster. In the attached image, there may be a slight gap visible between the two – as the images of the top and bottom half have been photographed individually and then joined together digitally. When framed or pasted, there will be no gap visible between the two sheets and the appearance of the poster would be seamless – i.e. just like a single sheet poster.
