Old Marathi movie poster for sale: Mard Maratha (1952).
This is an actual surviving rare original Indian film poster of the 1952 Marathi movie that starred Usha Kiran, Master Vithal, Master Chhotu, Vivek, Vasant Shinde, Rajbasant and Mangla.
Produced under the Surmai Chitra banner, Mard Maratha (1952) was directed by Keshav Talpade.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 1952), this old Marathi movie poster was made for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This Mard Maratha movie poster was originally designed in hand painted oil on canvas format by a poster design studio in Bombay called Jai-Ma Arts.
A stunning hand painted illustration of actress Usha Kiran holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other is seen at the center of this old Marathi movie poster. A large close up of a Mughal is seen in the background on the top, while a Maratha warrior is seen at the bottom.
Lettering used in this old Marathi movie poster is entirely in Devanagari Hindi, with the title appearing in a striking red font outlined in yellow and black. The 3D font style used in the title appears in a diagonal line, while a semi-abstract war scene is seen hand drawn above it, giving away the action genre of the film.
