Featured here is an actual surviving publicity poster of the 1989 classic Bollywood horror movie made by the undisputed kings of Bollywood horror, the Ramsay brothers.

Directed by Shyam Ramsay and Tulsi Ramsay, Purani Haveli (1989) starred Deepak Parashar and Amita Nangia in key roles, with the actress making her on screen debut.

Produced by Gangu Ramsay, Purani Haveli (1989) also starred Satish Shah in a comical dual role (as twins Mangu and Kala Gangu) along with Manik Irani who played the monster in the film. Anil Dhawan, Shobha, Sikandar, Shehzad Khan, Vijay Arora, Neelam Mehra, Tej Sapru, Pinchoo Kapoor, Narendra Nath and Sadhana Khote played supporting roles, while Sunil Dhawan, Priti Sapru and Tina Ghai made guest appearances in this classic Hindi horror movie.

Shot primarily at Janjira Palace in Murud, Purani Haveli (1989) is often counted as one of the scariest films ever made in Indian cinema, making this old Bollywood horror movie poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated subsequent to the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in the early 1990s), this Purani Haveli poster was printed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This old Bollywood horror movie poster was originally designed in photographic collage format by cutting out still pictures of actors from separate photographs using a blade and pasting them on a canvas board. The title is hand painted, which makes this Indian horror movie poster an interesting mix of two very different design techniques.

This old Purani Haveli poster features still photos of lead actors Deepak Parashar and Amita Nangia on the left, with Manik Irani who played the scary ghoul appearing on the right.
