Queen movie poster for sale.
This is an actual surviving original Bollywood poster of the 2014 Hindi comedy drama directed by Vikas Bahl that starred Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.
Produced by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena, Queen starred Lisa Haydon and Rajkummar Rao in supporting roles.
The film tells the story of a young woman who daringly takes off on a solo honeymoon trip to Paris and Amsterdam after her fiancé calls off their wedding last minute. In doing so, she ends up finding herself.
Queen holds the distinction of being one of the highest grossing Indian films featuring a female protagonist. Its story resonated with women across the globe, with critics heralding it as a new wave of feminism in Indian cinema.
Queen bagged the Best Film and Best Actress (Kangana Ranaut) awards at both the 60th Filmfare Awards as well as the 62nd National Film Awards. In total, the film won 6 Filmfare awards. The British Film Institute ranked Queen amongst the 10 greatest Indian films of the 21st century, making this original Kangana Ranaut poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the debut of the film in theaters (somewhere towards the end of 2013), this queen movie poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Lead actress Kangana Ranaut is seen dressed in a kurti dancing away in a Parisian night club to the remix of the old Bollywood song, “Hungama Ho Gaya.” The background of this original Bollywood poster has been blurred out to focus on the female protagonist of the film, with only a bar sign seen faintly in the distance.
The title appears in stunning multi-color typography on the top of this Queen movie poster. The India release date of the film is seen at the bottom in white.
The soundtrack album of Queen was composed by Amit Trivedi. One of the songs from the film, “London Thumakda” sung by Neha Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar became a rage throughout the nation at the time of the film’s release and continues to be played till today.
