This is an actual surviving original vintage Bollywood poster of the old 1970 Hindi family drama directed by T. Prakash Rao that starred Balraj Sahni, Nirupa Roy and Bharathi in lead roles.

Produced by B. Nagi Reddi and released under the Vijaya International studios banner, Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani (1970) also starred Mahesh Kumar, Rakesh Roshan, Sulochana Chatterjee, Jalal Agha and Mehmood Jr in supporting roles. Om Prakash, Shashikala and Jagdeep made guest appearances in the film.

Printed and circulated during the theatrical run of the film (somewhere in the 1970s), this old Bollywood poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani poster was originally hand painted on canvas by a poster design studio in Delhi. The printed signature of the poster painter who originally designed the poster is seen on the bottom right in the name of his studio, Gulati Arts.

A quirky hand drawn portrait of comedian Junior Mehmood wearing a checkered Fedora hat is seen on the top. Balraj Sahni and Mahesh Kumar are seen below in a hand painted illustration, while a large face of actress Bharathi Vishnuvardhan appears alongside. Actor Om Prakash is seen counting notes at the bottom of this Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani poster.

A bright tone of yellow is used in the background of this vintage Bollywood poster which gives it a catchy appearance. Typography used in this original movie poster is primarily in Devanagari Hindi, with a translation of the title appearing in both English as well as in Urdu.

The soundtrack album of Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani was composed by Kalyanji-Anandji. It featured the hit song, “Sama Hai Suhana Suhana” sung by Kishore Kumar, which is fondly remembered and played till today.
