Katrina Kaif movie posters for sale: Namastey London (2007).
Featured here is an original Bollywood poster of the 2007 romantic Hindi film produced and directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah that starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in key roles.
Namastey London (2007) also starred Rishi Kapoor, Upen Patel, Riteish Deshmukh, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Vir Das, Nina Wadia, Clive Standen, Tiffany Mulheron and Billy Herrington in supporting roles.
The film chronicled romance between a Desi Punjabi boy (Akshay Kumar) and a British Indian girl (Katrina Kaif). The plot of Namastey London (2007) was very similar to Purab Aur Paschim (1970), which also essayed an east-west romance.
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2007), this Katrina Kaif movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Akshay Kumar is seen in a stunning close up still on the top right. The actor appears gesturing with his hands in a dancing pose. Actress Katrina Kaif is seen on the left wearing a white western outfit with matching high boots.
A blue sky background is seen on the top of this Katrina Kaif movie poster. The bottom shows the Big Ben and a red double decker bus on a busy London street below.
Typography used in this original Namastey London movie poster is entirely in English. The title of the film appears in signboard typeface in red, blue and black against a white background at the center. The subtitle of the film, “A Funjabi Boy Meets a Hinglish Brat” is seen at the bottom.
The soundtrack album of Namastey London (2007) was composed by Himesh Reshammiya, while lyrics were penned by Javed Akhtar. The song “Main Jahan Rahoon” sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan became a massive success at the time of the film’s release and is fondly remembered and played till today. “Chakna Chakna” sung by Himesh Reshammiya was another hit song from the film.
Following it’s success, a remake of the film titled Namaste England (2018) was released starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, which was a box office disaster.
