Ghajini movie poster for sale.
This is an actual surviving original old Bollywood poster of the 2008 cult Hindi action thriller written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss.
Ghajini starred Aamir Khan and Asin Thottumkal in key roles. Jiah Khan, Pradeep Rawat, Riyaz Khan, Khalid Siddiqui, Tinnu Anand, Sai Tamhankar, Vibha Chibber and Sunil Grover played supporting roles in the film.
Asin Thottumkal made her Bollywood debut with Ghajini, winning the “Best Female Debut” award at the Filmfare Awards for her performance.
Ghajini was inspired by the Christopher Nolan film Memento (2000) and was initially made by A. R. Murugadoss in Tamil with the same name (Ghajini) in 2005. The original Tamil film featured Asin Thottumkal as well.
Upon its release on 25 December 2008, Ghajini became the first Bollywood film in the history of Indian cinema to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark in domestic sales, creating the prestigious 100 Crore Club for other films to aspire towards.
It went on to become the highest grossing Indian film of all time, until the record was surpassed by Aamir Khan’s next film, 3 Idiots (2009) the following year, making this Ghajini movie poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the completion of a successful 100 day run of the film in theaters (somewhere in early 2009), this Ghajini movie poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Superstar Aamir Khan is seen in a stunning mirror reflection in this original Bollywood poster. He is seen covered in tattoos, with “Kalpana Was Killed” seen tattooed prominently across his chest. A visible scar is seen on his head. An announcement on the top of this original Ghajini movie poster reads, “Biggest Blockbuster of All-Time Celebrates 100 Days.”
Several photographs and notes are seen pasted on a dark wall in the background, with a photo of Asin Thottumkal seen on the top right. Typography used in this Ghajini movie poster is entirely in English with the title appearing in red.
The soundtrack album of Ghajini was composed by one of the greatest composers in Indian cinema, A. R. Rahman. Songs from the film, such as “Guzaarish” and “Aye Bacchu” are fondly remembered and played till today.
Aamir Khan’s character was featured in a 3D video game titled Ghajini – The Game, based on the film.
