This is an actual surviving original Bollywood movie poster of the 2014 Hindi romantic comedy co-produced by Karan Johar and directed by Abhishek Varman that starred Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles.

Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy, Revathi, Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, Amit Bhargav and Achint Kaur played supporting roles in 2 States (2014).

Based on Chetan Bhagat’s 2009 novel of the same name, the film was a massive critical as well as commercial success, making this 2 States poster, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated during the debut of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2014), this Alia Bhatt poster was designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

Arjun Kapoor (who plays a North Indian) is seen along with Alia Bhatt (who plays a South Indian) seated on a couch. Their parents are seen standing behind them, with Ronit Roy and Amrita Singh on the left and Revathi and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam on the right.

The lettering stands out against a gradient background. Typography used in this original 2 States poster is entirely in English. A subtitle is seen under the title in red that reads: “one love …”

The soundtrack album of 2 States (2014) was composed by hit music composer trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. One of the songs from the film, “Mast Magan” sung by Arijit Singh became very popular during the film’s release and is fondly remembered till date.
