Hindi comedy posters for sale: Fukrey (2013).
Featured here is a rare original Bollywood poster of the 2013 cult Hindi comedy directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba that starred Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma in key roles.
Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Fukrey (2013) also starred Richa Chadda, Priya Anand, Vishakha Singh and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles.
The film was a sleeper hit, amassing a cult following over the years. Characters from the film such as “Choocha” and “Bholi Punjaban” became the stuff of legend, making this Hindi comedy poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the first release of the film in theaters (somewhere in 2013), this Fukrey movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Faces of three lead actors of the film, Manjot Singh, Pulkit Samrat and Ali Fazal are seen hanging like hunting trophies on a wall in this old Hindi comedy poster. Richa Chadda is seen at the center in her character of gangster “Bholi Punjaban.” Seated on a red accent chair with one leg crossed over the other, the actress appears holding a bunch of lottery tickets in one hand and grabbing the neck of Varun Sharma with the other.
Varun Sharma, who plays the hilarious character of “Choocha” in the film, appears looking at Richa Chadda with a mix of both fear as well as affection. A set of dolls is seen under a table lamp on the left of this original Bollywood poster.
The title of the film appears in a stunning graffiti like typeface at the bottom of this Fukrey poster, with the subtitle, “Going Cheap!” seen below it, giving away the comedy genre of the film.
The soundtrack album of Fukrey (2013) was composed by Ram Sampath. A couple of songs from the film, namely “Ambarsariya” sung by Sona Mohapatra and the title track “Fuk Fuk Fukrey” became popular at the time of it’s release and are played till today.
