This is an actual surviving original Bollywood movie poster of the 2014 Hindi film co-written, co-produced and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film starred Shahid Kapoor and Tabu in lead roles. Kay Kay Menon, Shraddha Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Ashish Vidyarthi played supporting roles in the film.

Haider (2014) was a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, set amidst the Kashmir conflicts of 1995. Haider is the third installment of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Shakespearean adaptation trilogy. The first was Macbeth released as “Maqbool” in 2003 followed by Shakespeare’s Othello released as “Omkara” in 2006.

Haider was screened at the 19th Busan International Film Festival, receiving widespread critical acclaim. At the 62nd National Film Awards, Haider bagged five awards. The film received another five awards at the 60th Filmfare Awards, winning Best Actor (Shahid Kapoor), Best Supporting Actor (Kay Kay Menon) and Best Supporting Actress (Tabu).

The film holds the distinction of being the first Indian film to win the People’s Choice Award at the Rome Film Festival, making this Haider poster, highly collectible!
