Amitabh Bachchan poster of the blockbuster Hindi movie Mohabbatein (2000) for sale.
This is an actual surviving classic Amitabh poster of the 2000 Hindi film written and directed by Aditya Chopra that featured the “King of Bollywood,” superstar Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. The greatest actor in Indian cinema, superstar Amitabh Bachchan played a supporting role in the film.
Mohabbatein is the first film to feature superstars Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan together, making this Mohabbatein movie poster highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during the original first release of the film somewhere in the year 2000, this Mohabbatein movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
Produced by Yash Chopra, Mohabbatein was Aditya Chopra’s second directorial venture after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Filmed partly in the UK, Mohabbatein also starred six young debutantes Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma and Preeti Jhangiani. Aishwarya Rai also made a special appearance in the film.
A large close up of superstar Shah Rukh Khan is seen in this Amitabh Bachchan poster. A full length photograph of superstar Amitabh Bachchan pointing his finger at the camera is seen alongside, with the college or “gurukul” appearing in the background. Maple leaves are seen around the title of the film that appears at the bottom of this Amitabh Bachchan old movie poster.
The film was a massive commercial as well as critical success. Shah Rukh Khan won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his role as music teacher “Raj Aryan Malhotra” in the film, while Amitabh Bachchan bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of headmaster “Narayan Shankar.”
The soundtrack of Mohabbatein was composed by Jatin-Lalit, while the lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. Songs like “Humko Humise Chura Lo,” “Chalte Chalte Yunhi Ruk Jaata Hoon Main” and “Aankhein Khuli Ho Ya Ho Band” are fondly remembered and played till today.
