Produced by N.C. Sippy and Bollywood’s legendary comedian Mehmood (who also starred in the film in an unforgettable comic role), Padosan (1968) also featured legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar. Om Prakash, Mukri, Keshto Mukherjee, Raj Kishore and Agha played supporting roles in this cult classic.
Shot extensively in Brindavan Gardens near Mysore, Padosan (1968) is regarded as one of the finest soundtrack albums ever made in Indian cinema.
