Janbaaz movie poster for sale.
This is an actual surviving classic Bollywood movie poster for sale of the 1986 Hindi film that was produced, directed and edited by the “Client Eastwood of the East,” Feroz Khan.
Janbaaz (1986) starred Feroz Khan along with Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in prominent roles. Sridevi and Rekha had special appearances in the film in chart topping numbers. The film is believed to be inspired by the Gregory Peck and Joseph Cotten Hollywood movie, Duel in the Sun (1946).
Janbaaz became a sensation throughout the nation for a steamy lovemaking scene that featured Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. A song from the film featuring actress Sridevi, “Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta Yahan Pyaar Zindagi Mein (English translation: “Not Everyone Finds Love in Life”) became an instant chart-topping hit. Another song “Pyar Do Pyar Lo” (“English Translation: Give Love Receive Love”) featuring Rekha was a rage throughout the nation at the time of the film’s release.
The soundtrack album of Janbaaz is fondly remembered and played till today, making this original hand drawn Bollywood poster, highly collectible!
Printed and circulated during a subsequent release run of the film in Kolkata (somewhere in the 1980s), this Janbaaz movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
This classic illustrated movie poster was originally designed in hand drawn format on canvas by a Bollywood poster art studio in Kolkata. A quirky illustrated portrait of actor Feroz Khan holding a pair of handcuffs is seen prominently at the center. He is seen dressed in police uniform. Smaller close up quirky portraits of Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia are seen at the bottom. The Bollywood poster artist has used line drawing technique to illustrate faces in this vintage movie poster.
The entire poster is set against a fiery background red in color. Galloping horses along with two clenched fists are seen hand drawn on each side of the title at the bottom of this Janbaaz movie poster. Typography used in the poster is primarily in English, with the film’s title translated in Devanagari Hindi as well at the top.
