This is the only hand drawn Bollywood movie poster that exists in the world which features superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha locked in a solo, passionate gaze.

Ram Balram was released at the time when Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha’s rumored secret affair had received widespread publicity. In the following year, the cult romantic classic Silsila was released, making it the last film to feature Rekha opposite Amitabh Bachchan.

This is an actual surviving old Bollywood poster of the 1980 film that featured two of the biggest superstars in Indian cinema of the time, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra. Printed and circulated somewhere during the release of the film, this hand painted vintage movie poster was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.

This poster was originally designed on a hand painted canvas by the greatest and highest paid Bollywood movie poster artist of all time, Diwakar Karkare, making it very collectable. The poster bears the original signature of Diwakar on the bottom right hand corner.

This beautiful hand drawn old Bollywood poster was designed by the most sought after Bollywood movie poster artist in the country, Diwakar Karkare. Credited with hand painting posters of some of Amitabh Bachchan’s greatest films, Karkare has used softer tones to highlight the romance between Amitabh and his love interest Rekha in this poster. This beautifully hand painted masterpiece is the only surviving poster of its kind in the world that features superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha locked in a solo, passionate embrace, making it highly collectible.

Released in 1980, Ram Balram starred Dharmendra as “Ram” and Amitabh Bachchan as “Balram.” Zeenat Aman and Rekha were paired opposite the two, while Ajit, Amjad Khan and Prem Chopra were cast as villains in the film. The film marked the third successful venture of Bollywood’s biggest superstars of the time, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, who previously were seen in Chupke Chupke and the cult classic, Sholay.
