This is an actual surviving set of 8 original Bollywood lobby cards of the cult Hindi crime drama, Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007).

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film was based on the true story of India’s “first daylight encounter” that took place in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala Complex in 1991 between seven gangsters led by Maya Dolas and members of the Mumbai Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). In the ensuing shootout, approximately 100 policemen used a total of 450 rounds of ammunition, eliminating all seven gangsters.

The film starred Sanjay Dutt taking on the character of ATS head and Vivek Oberoi as the dreaded gangster Maya Dolas. Suniel Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Rohit Roy, Aditya Lakhia, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Dia Mirza, Amrita Singh, Neha Dhupia, Daya Shankar Pandey and Aarti Chabria played supporting roles in the film.

The biggest superstar of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan also starred in Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007) in the role of a public prosecutor.

For his stellar performance, Vivek Oberoi won the Best Villain award at the 9th IIFA Awards, making this original Shootout at Lokhandwala poster photo set, highly collectible!

Printed and circulated prior to the first release of the film (somewhere in 2007), this Amitabh movie poster set was originally designed for publicity of the film but never ended up being used.
